Cait misses her father, but not the husband she barely knew that fell in battle before she discovered her pregnancy.  She loves her brother, but isn't close to him - because he won't let anyone close, not because she doesn't want to be.  She misses female companionship and is thrilled when the woman who is supposed to be her sister-in-law shows up at the Sinclair holding.  When she's kidnapped, her biggest fear is what her brother will do in reprisal.  She believes the Balmoral femwolf had her clan's approval to run on Sinclair land during a full moon.  The fact Brighid ended up mated was her family's fault and Cait doesn't understand why the Balmorals are demanding justice.  She's attracted to Drustan like she has never been to a man...not even her husband, but a forced mating is not her idea of the recipe for a happy future.
